The Bouncer
One night in May, while my wife was away in Los Angeles, I sat on the couch for seven hours straight and binged HBO’s The Sympathizer. Now, here’s something you should know: I’m not a binger. I’m the type to watch an episode or two, then let it simmer for a day or even a week. But this time, I couldn’t stop. I was hooked from the first scene.
It wasn’t just Robert Downey Jr. playing every white guy that caught my attention—it was Vy Le, who played Lana. She was magnetic. When the credits rolled, I found myself digging through the internet to find anything about her, and ultimately stumbling upon her Instagram, telling her how much I loved her in the show. Oh, and that she’d look great in my clothes. Very normal, right?
To my surprise, she responded, and we hit it off right away. The rest, as they say, is history.
Now, Vy’s starring in her greatest role of all: The Bouncer at our brand new Mad King George Studio.
